Neha began playing tennis at the age of 4. She would follow her two older sisters Diya, Shikha and her father Mahesh to their local public tennis court to play after school.
Her interest and talent grew. At the age of 9 Neha and her older sister Shikha, moved to Florida to attend Saddlebrook Tennis Academy to pursue tennis as a profession. In 2002, 16 years old Neha took a break from tennis to attend Princeton University
for a year, studying liberal arts and playing for the Princeton University Women's Team. In 2004, Neha turned professional and since has been playing on the WTA Tour for the past 3 years.
She has 4 sisters, Diya (26), Shikha (24), Nikita (14) and Nimita (14). |
