Neha began playing tennis at the age of 4. She would follow her two older sisters Diya, Shikha and her father Mahesh to their local public tennis court to play after school.

Her interest and talent grew. At the age of 9 Neha and her older sister Shikha, moved to Florida to attend Saddlebrook Tennis Academy to pursue tennis as a profession. In 2002, 16 years old Neha took a break from tennis to attend Princeton University for a year, studying liberal arts and playing for the Princeton University Women's Team. In 2004, Neha turned professional and since has been playing on the WTA Tour for the past 3 years.

She has 4 sisters, Diya (26), Shikha (24), Nikita (14) and Nimita (14).

 FEBRUARY  Qualified into two WTA events back to back in Bogota, Colombia and Doha, Qatar.
 MARCH  As a wild card in WTA Charleston upset #75 Lisa Raymond.
 APRIL  Reached the Semi-Finals of doubles in WTA/Estoril, Portugal with partner and sister, Shikha.
 MAY  Reached the 2nd round of the WTA/Rabat, Morocco.
 AUGUST  Qualified into WTA/Montreal, Canada upsetting #45 Elena Vesnina along the way.
 OCTOBER  Reached two doubles finals in ITF events in Troy, Alabama and Augusta, GA.
 NOVEMBER  Upset #40 Sofia Arvidsson at the ITF in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
 
2005  
 MARCH  As a wild card at Miami, fell to qualifier Voskoboeva in 1r.
 AUGUST  Advanced to the second round of US Open qualies where she went down fighting in a tight 3  setter to Jennifer Hopkins.
 SEPTEMBER  Advanced to first WTA Tour Doubles Final at the Sunfeast Open in Kolkatta, IND with sister
 Shikha before losing to the top seeded Russian pair of Likhovtseva/Myskina.
 OCTOBER  Reached the Doubles Final of the WTA/Guangzhou, CHN with sister, Shikha.
 
2004  
 As world No.443 qualified at Hyberabad, and lost to eventual finalist Maria Kirilenko; Played the qualifying at US
 Open and four Tour events; on ITF Ciucuit, reached one singles and one doubles final.
